By the Water is a story about growing up beside someone — and slowly realizing that friendship has become something more.

Stefan and Maria have known each other since they were seven. What began on a playground became years of walking home together, laughing, talking about the future and spending long evenings by the water.

The shoreline became their place.

​

It was where Stefan played his guitar, where Maria sang along — especially when he got the chords wrong — and where two childhood friends eventually fell in love.

They were young enough to believe those evenings might last forever.

Life would eventually take them in different directions, but By the Water isn’t really about the ending. It’s about everything that came before it — the friendship, the first love, and those ordinary moments that only become precious when you look back.
